Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović meets Ambassador Chen Bo

       On July 2, Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović met with Ambassador Chen Bo. Chen Bo briefed Izetbegović on the latest progress in cooperation of the two countries in all areas.

       Izetbegović highlighted that BiH attaches great importance to the development of relations with China and highly appreciates the fact that China adheres to the concept of joint victory in international cooperation. He voiced pleasure with the satisfactory progress in relations of the two countries achieved in the past period. With entry into force of the Agreement on Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports between the two countries, room for cooperation in all areas is expanding. The BiH side greets participation of Chinese companies in building major road and energy projects. It will work intensively on the completion of necessary procedures, with a view to faster realization of the project Block 7 of the Thermal Power Plant in Tuzla.

       Chen Bo expressed gratitude to Izetbegović for attaching great importance to development of relations between the two countries and investing personal efforts in their improvement. She voiced hope the BiH side would finish the procedures in relevant institutions, for the Block 7 of the TPP Tuzla to be realized as soon as possible, which would increase Chinese companies’ confidence in the BiH market. In the near future, Chinese companies will sign with the BiH side an agreement on cooperation in highway construction. It is expected the two countries would see a new beginning in the area of road construction.

       The two sides also exchanged views on cooperation in the fields such as small and medium-sized enterprises, trade in agricultural products, civil aviation and health care.
